Welcome aboard, Sanjay!

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of climate technology expert Sanjay Parekh as our Chief Commercial Officer.

Sanjay, who previously worked at Storegga, headed their direct air capture division for two years.

He said: “This is a wonderful time to be joining Carbon Capture Scotland. There’s a real coming together of values and vision, especially around pace – we do not have a long time to avert complete climate catastrophe and this is a business actively mitigating CO₂ from industrial use. There’s a very real sense that we are doing something ground-breaking.”

The serial entrepreneur, who founded and sold two technologies companies before focusing his career on climate change technology, says it is the responsibility of everyone to do what they can to avert the complete breakdown of the Earth’s climate.

He added: “I can use my skills and knowledge to help Carbon Capture Scotland grow and make a real positive impact on the race to net zero.”

Richard Nimmons, our CEO, said: “We are delighted Sanjay has joined our team. He is an expert in his field and he will enormously assist us in our mission as we scale up biogenic capture, and look at other areas where we can help accelerate Scotland’s move to net zero.”
